The Gavin Foundation is looking for compassionate professionals to join our team. Our vast array of services include; ATS/CSS, outpatient, school based services, criminal justice, reentry programs, adolescent recovery homes, adult recovery homes and a recovery support center. We have expanded services with more programs and locations and have multiple full and part time positions available, all shifts, including nights and weekends.

We are seeking experienced Master Level Clinicians, Clinical Supervisors, Case Managers, Recovery Specialist, and Peer to Peer support staff. Please visit our employment page for more information.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Services announced the launch of the PAIR Initiative (Personal Advancement for Individuals in Recovery), a seed grant program that will consist of grants to individuals in recovery for personal wraparound services needed to maintain and continue recovery. The PAIR Initiative is a partnership between the City of Boston, Warren and Doris Buffett’s Letters Foundation, and the Gavin Foundation, and is the first program of its kind in the United States. PAIR is a pilot project that is funded by the Letters Foundation and currently available to individuals participating in Gavin Foundation’s vocational, reentry and substance use programs. Find out more about this innovative program.

Registration begins at 9:00 am at the Cunningham School Cafeteria and the 5k begins at 1:00 am. The 5K follows the route of the Milton Road Race through the beautiful town of Milton, MA. Free t-shirts available to the first 100 registrants! All proceeds, minus administrative costs, will be equally split between the Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Gavin Foundation. The Gavin Foundation will present Recovery Community Impact Awards to:
The Boston Fire Department, led by Commissioner Joseph Finn will be honored for their work related to the opioid epidemic in Boston. Commissioner Finn and department officials work closely with the City of Boston’s Office of Recovery Services to ensure that first responders and volunteers in the community receive the training and support needed in response to the opioid crisis.

“The Boston Fire Department, led by Joe Finn, was a natural choice for the Recovery Community Impact Award. The Gavin Foundation would like to thank the department and Commissioner Finn for their commitment to changing lives in the community.” said William Ostiguy, Lieutenant, retired, Boston Fire Department and Chairman of the Board, Gavin Foundation.

Felicia Safford, Boston Public Health Transitions Program Admission Coordinator, will be honored for her dedication to the many individuals she has guided through the Boston Public Health Commission Transitions program, which provides short-term addiction treatment for adults. She is an admired and respected role model and truly cares about helping individuals on their road to recovery.

On May 11^th, friends of the Gavin Foundation and Creative Office Pavilion joined together at the Innovation and Design Building in South Boston for the Road to Recovery Gala; a Benefit for the Gavin Foundation hosted by Creative Office Pavilion.

Governor Charlie Baker was presented with the Man of the Year Award, and Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey received the Caring Hearts Award for their support of the mission of the Gavin Foundation. Honored guests included Congressman Stephen Lynch, and former Boston Celtics player Chris Herren. Chris graciously donated his time to speak at the sponsors reception where he shared his story of recovery to an audience that also included volunteers, staff and their teen children.

The Gavin Foundation is grateful for the friendship extended by the team at Creative Office Pavilion, and honored to have been chosen as a partner and beneficiary of the event. Creative Office Pavilion truly believes collaboration with the business community is important in addressing the opioid epidemic. The need for accessible, cost-effective addiction treatment and recovery options in the community is vital. The success of the Road to Recovery Gala is a direct result of private businesses, unions, community organizations, political leaders, and individuals all committed to ensuring the availability of quality treatment for those in need. It has been a pleasure to join forces in the effort to fight opioid addiction in Massachusetts.
